The theatre becomes the site of a ritual. A total and uninterrupted performance, to be experienced day and night, for 35 hours and 34 minutes.
An immersive installation, an interactive performance, a place of spirituality for the present and the future. With Asterism, Alexander Schubert has created an unidentified artistic object, at the crossroads of musical, scenic and technological practices. Within a strange sanctuary, constantly vacillating between hyperrealism and virtuality, natural and artificial elements, musicians and performers, as well as an artificial intelligence in control of the ritual, rub shoulders. A post-digital nature, a hallucinatory in-between world that the public is invited to explore at any time of the night or day.
Asterism is accessible continuously from Friday 17 September at 7.37 pm (sunset) to Sunday 19 September at 7.11 am (sunrise). The public enters the installation in groups by booking a time slot. It is possible to repeat the experience at different times, day and night, on presentation of the initial ticket and depending on the availability of places.
