For this fifteenth Live@Home, les Percussions de Strasbourg invite the ensemble HANATSUmiroir to celebrate their tenth anniversary. On this occasion and in order to celebrate Joji Yuasa’s 90th birthday, the two ensembles will play pieces written by the Japanese composer, who represents an important musician for HANATSUmiroir. This composer is also one of the points of connection between the two ensembles.
For this concert, les Percussions de Strasbourg will also have the opportunity to create a new work by Maurilio Cacciatore, a long-time partner of HANATSUmiroir.
To complete this programme dedicated to the repertoire, Salcia (2011) by Doina Roitaru and Ritual Trio (2018) by Philippe Hurel will answer to Thien-Dao Nguyen’s Camatithu (1974). The stage space for this programme will be designed by Marie Anne Bacquet and Raphael Siefert.
The concert will end with Ernest, a group from Strasbourg, and the musicians of les Percussions who will enliven the theatre’s lobby until it closes!
