With the support of Fidelio.

Nous ne cesserons pas — The rising and falling notes from a piano in the hands of a virtuoso player form the musical backdrop to this dreamscape of light and shadow in which a ladder connecting earth and heaven invites humanity to climb up and be among the angels.
Les Noces — Beneath the luster of a grand chandelier, guests celebrate the anticipation and fragility of a union, tinged with promises of the future and the inevitable fractures along the way, to the haunting rhythm of ancestral chants, organic beats and terrestrial explosions.

With the recreation of his work Nous ne cesserons pas, Bruno Bouché reimagines, to Piano Sonata in B minor by Liszt, played by Tanguy de Williencourt, the symbolic and spiritual overtones of an episode from the Book of Genesis when Jacob sees a ladder reaching up to heaven ascended and descended by angels. To this vision of elevation, Hélène Blackburn presents one of union with a new choreographic composition set to Stravinsky’s masterful Les Noces, performed by the soloists of the Opéra Studio, the Opéra national du Rhin chorus, four pianists and the Percussions de Strasbourg. A powerful diptych of music and dance in which energies, genres and aesthetics constantly come together and clash.

⏰ Performance at 8pm. Duration : 1h20, intermission included.
