Frédéric Rossif has often focused on the animal world, as in Sauvage et beau and L’Apocalypse des animaux. La Fête sauvage, which took two years to shoot in Africa, South America and Asia, takes the form of a colorful spectacle, with sumptuous images and an astonishing vital force. Having become a rarity over the years, the film now features a new score by Lucie Antunes, replacing the original by Vangelis. The composer conceived this sound creation – at the crossroads of classical, rock and electro cultures – for the Percussions de Strasbourg, augmented by an electronic musician. The power of Rossif’s documentary is thus enhanced tenfold by this new musical breath.
