No, you’re not dreaming! Les Percussions de Strasbourg are embarking on a colorful adventure with Nicole Genovese, a Franco-Finnish author and director, specializing in neo-absurd humor with a weird, nerdy-tropical bent.
In a franco-fictitious Helsinki, a small group of people cure their Saturday night fever by playing lotto. The game is hosted by Annikki, a sort of Madonna for the socially downtrodden, whose steady tempo offers warmth and relief to the players who have come here to seek solace. Diskoteekki, which means nightclub in Finnish, is a reflection on enchantment in the form of a disco musical comedy written for the Percussions de Strasbourg orchestra.
